15th Jinan Municipal CPPCC Meeting: Strengthening Cooperation with Friendship Cities

From January 9 to 12, 2024, the 15th Jinan Municipal Committee Meeting of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) convened in Jinan to deliberate on development strategies and key personnel appointments for the city.

Jiao Chao, President of the Central and Eastern Europe China Science and Technology Exchange Association (CEECSTE), proposed a comprehensive plan titled “Proposal on Strengthening Pragmatic Cooperation and Expanding the Depth of Interaction between Friendship Cities.” The proposal emphasized strengthening ties with Central and Eastern European Friendship Cities to foster deeper cooperation and meaningful exchanges.

This year holds special significance as 2024 marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of both the People’s Republic of China and the CPPCC. Jinan City is committed to achieving high-quality development, focusing on advancing economic growth and social progress.

The meeting was attended by key leaders, including Liu Qiang, Secretary of the CPC Jinan Municipal Committee, and Yu Haitian, Mayor of Jinan.
