On September 27, 2024, the Central European Division preliminaries of the 7th China (Jinan) New Energy Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition were successfully held in Budapest, Hungary. The competition was organized by the Jinan Municipal Government and hosted by the Central and Eastern Europe-China Science and Technology Exchange Association (CEECSTE), the Laiwu District People’s Government, and the Jinan Overseas Chinese Federation.

From 224 innovative and entrepreneurial projects submitted by participants from over 20 countries, including China, Hungary, and Germany, 80 projects advanced to the preliminaries. Ultimately, 15 projects secured their spots in the Jinan finals.
